LEVEL 2 - #08 “LOOP STITCH"
The Loop Stitch is a Silk Ribbon Embroidery Stitch which is stitched without counting threads. It is easy to do and very effective in creating a three dimensional look. It works best for flower petals and particularly for leaves. .

Level 2 covers various different embroidery stitches, some stitched with floss and some are stitched with silk ribbon, to show you how to work with these two types of fibers. If you don't want to learn to stitch with silk ribbon, then stitch them only with flosses, it's up to you! The lessons start from the easier to the more challenging, and Thea will show them to you in detail. Each technique is designed to follow the previous one building your skills step by step. Each one is stitched on simple even weave fabric. Stitch them in progression from lesson 1 - 10.
Aida fabric does lend itself to embroidery like this, but you can still take a course to learn how to cross stitch on a linen evenweave fabric.
