Harmony is not something we find once and keep forever. It is something we return to, again and again, in small ways. In the rhythm of needle and thread. In the comfort of familiar routines. In the kindness of our connections with others. When life feels busy or uncertain, creating something with our hands can bring us back to centre. At the top of the sampler is a yin-yang symbol, a graceful motif that sets the tone for the piece. Delicate specialty stitched bands follow, with soft floral elements and repeating patterns that create a sense of harmony in the design. The colours move gently from one to the next, creating a soothing visual rhythm. A Hardanger section at bottom adds texture and interest, with openwork that feels light and airy. I dedicate this sampler to those of us who seek a little more balance in our days.
