At the top is a crown, significant in the Keep Calm tradition. The crown is also part of our history of traditional sampler motifs. Stitch this on any colour linen, and enjoy practicing or learning the lovely herringbone stitches, cute little eyelets, partial rice stitches, scotch stitches, cute four-sided stitches, then some Rhodes butterflies and waves of Bargello at the bottom. I hope you enjoy this wee beginner’s “Whitework” project! This mini pattern is dedicated to Jean Farish and her friends in “The Work of the Hands”. - Thea
