The colours are soft and muted silks, ivory and taupe silk perles, augmented by the sparkle of my favorite metallic silvery gold threads, with lustrous pearls for a rich effect. Stitched on Platinum linen, this sampler is in the style of an antique Memorial Sampler and I hope that stitching it will ease the loss of losing a loved one, as well as creating a commemorative needlework to their memory. You can also change the words, as I did on the smaller one, to give a memento of yourself to friends and loved ones! You'll love the easy way the top floral spray is worked! The words "Forever in my Heart" is my personal choice for this sampler, but I encourage you to choose words that are particularly meaningful to you, or to the person for whom it is meant! There is a Large Heirloom Memories Sampler, the Small Heirloom Memories Sampler, and a Needleroll design which is also suitable for framing. I invite you to use all the elements and bands of the sampler to embellish other items you might like... such as a photo frame, a pillow, or sachets full of dried rose petals or rosemary. However you use these designs, please embroider in remembrance and love, to honour those people in your life who are absent but not forgotten....
