In Two Colourways! Christmas in July in Victorian Rose or Traditional Christmas Red and Green. This addition to the Heirloom Sampler series is a heartfelt celebration of Christmas and all the treasured moments you hold dear during the holiday season. In the pattern you'll find full instructions for soft Victorian rose tones for a romantic, vintage feel, and the other in classic Victorian red and green for a more traditional Christmas look. You can choose the one that best fits your décor, or stitch both for a lovely seasonal collection!
This sampler was inspired by my own childhood memories of Christmas. On Christmas Eve, my mother would light candles all around the house—on the tree, on the mantle, and on every table. We decorated simply with evergreen boughs, holly, glass ornaments, bows, and tinsel. We sang carols around the piano, then went to midnight service.
I still remember the sound of the cathedral choir, their voices filling the night with music that felt like peace, love, and joy wrapped into one perfect hour. I also made up the little verse, and can still remember how important it was to me, as I used to sing in our cathedral choir, and wanted to get the feeling of angels singing in that beautiful space.
These memories stitched themselves into my Heirloom Christmas Sampler, a design filled with music, warmth, and the magic of Christmas Eve. I hope it brings back beautiful memories for you too, as you stitch your own. - Thea

Two Colourways: this sampler was originally conceived as a long sampler in Antique Rose and Teal Green colours. You can see these colours in the photograph on the front of your leaflet and above. However, if you are one of those people who love the Victorian Reds and Greens at Christmas, then please follow the same directions, but substitute the alternate colours where you find them in parentheses. The shorter version and the Needleroll can also be stitched in either of the two colourways. The Victorian Reds and Green shorter version is shown on the back of this leaflet. We're releasing this sampler in January with the hope that this will give you lots of time to stitch this beauty before Christmas! Enjoy!
